LOVED IT EVEN MORE HEARING IT!!! And not to sound all stupid and “teeny”–but you have a great, sexy voice.
I really do love this poem though, and I’ve ordered “My Life As Adam.”
Your reading was brilliant Bryan, and of course the message was clear and defined. This ‘Don’t ask Don’t Tell nonsense is so archaic and bible-belt-turn-the-other-way ridiculous. As a Canadian, this stuff is mystifying. I think the U.S. government needs to sit and smoke some weed, then clean out some closets. Much love my sweet.
I LOVE CANADA! I watched a John Candy movie over the weekend. The Great Outdoors. Love the scene where he eats the 96 ounce steak. You know, I have an interesting fact about John Candy I tell at dinner parties…
(On Levi. He was on The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell and he showed he was much smarter than Sarah Palin: he knows that he doesn’t know. Tutor him!)
You have become one of my favorite poets of this generation. I LOVE this and LOVE you for writing it. I love the fire in your belly, that you have found the words so many of us have not been able to find. I think we are in a time where we as GLBT’s people need to rally around our GLBT families more than ever now and as artists and writers, it is time we lift our fists in the damn air and say no more. Keep writing, keep bringing us these poems, brother! PRIDE!

you know this – but you have one of the best poetry reading voices out there
If you ever get a random call in the middle of the night – and there’s a sultry voice reading poetry – you’ll know who it is!
A great reading, well said.

Philip, I saw his appearance! Smarter, yes, but (sadly) oh so dumb!
I enjoyed just listening to my piece of Arkansas, but enjoyed hearing the poem. So powerful, especially when heard by the writers voice.
